Secrets, Secrets

The word secret should have a negative connotation, but for some reason it comes off as sexy.
He has a secret. Do you want to know a secret? It’s a secret.
I don’t know many people who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to have a piece of information cut up and repackaged for their ears.
You can’t touch a secret, yet you can hold it. It’s almost empowering to think you have materialized this intangible item. A scrap of knowledge that would pique the interest of others. A sentence, phrase or story that has to be shared with whispers, in corners.
A secret can potentially change the path of peoples lives, break hearts and create enemies.
I guess in that sense keeping a secret is not really as great as it’s cracked up to be: I have a secret.
Simply put in words: you are brilliant.
