Note to self.

I found this note I wrote to myself:

Contradictions make for interesting characters. Conflict makes for an interesting story. Embrace contradictions and conflicts, don’t create them. Stay funny, stay hungry. Comedy and tragedy are not exclusive, but symbiotic. Do not use big words. Wait. Listen. It’s okay to be vivacious. It’s okay to be loud. Both statements apply to parties and performances. If you want to be a good writer, if you want to be a great writer, if you want to be an excellent writer then observe. Be quiet. Don’t worry about gammar for the first or second draft. If you don’t know how to write or what to write then just write. Ramble, but ramble on a page. Ramble on this page. Look away from the computer and read. Read everyday. And breathe. Breathe everyday.

Eres una joven muy talentosa! You’re a talented young woman. You’re famous! I saw your “I quit” video on CNN and then I found your blog. Keep it up.

  3. Isn’t it awesome when you look back on your writings? I think it just gives you a kick in the right direction. Saw you video and was extremely happy for you, especially on your Queen Latifah offer. It nice to see a fellow writer move up the rants. I barely qualify as one, but eh, you definitely motivated me. :)

How very amazing. Today I saw your Queen Latifah video. Haha I don’t even know who you are but I looked up your video and almost laughed til I cried. We’re not even in the same generation yet I can completely relate. Have you every tried ujjayi breathing? If you’ve taken a yoga class then you probably know what I’m talking about. Anyways what would happen if you didn’t breathe everyday? If you didn’t take those five seconds to focus on your breath and just be in the moment of being yourself. Does that make any sense at all? This page kind of reminds me of the book we’re reading in class which is Catcher in the Rye. It’s a good book.
